After visiting Boulder this weekend to commit in-person, Lavon “LJ” Wallace, a three-star recruit out of Atwater, CA, has officially given the Buffaloes his word.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder has great size and the speed to match it, self-reporting his 40 time at 4.47 seconds. He has the ability to play at cornerback or safety when he gets to Colorado but safety is the most likely with the cornerback talent that they have brought in.
Atwater is a small rural town in Northern California, which is big reason why Wallace hasn’t been in the national spotlight in terms of recruiting. “The Cal coach that came by told me if Lavon was in Southern California going to a school like St. John Bosco, he would be a national recruit with 30 offers,” his high school coach, Kevin Navarra told the Modesto Bee.
The three-star recruit across the board also held offers from California, Oregon State, UCLA, Fresno State, Nevada, Wyoming, San Jose State, Vanderbilt and Yale.
