Brock Osweiler is once again the tallest player on the Denver Broncos’ roster.

Offensive tackle Matt Hall, who was claimed off waivers by the Broncos on Monday, will retire. The representatives for Hall informed the organization he would take that route and not report prior to Day 11 of Denver’s training camp.

Hall, who is 6-foot-9, would have staked claim to the tallest on the roster over the 6-8 fourth-year quarterback.

The Broncos waived wide receiver David Porter on Monday. With Hall electing not to play, Denver’s roster sits at 89 and that’s where it will likely sit heading into the first preseason game on Friday against the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle.

Hall, 25, signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a undrafted free agent in 2014. He later joined the Colts in training camp, but landed on their injured reserve list with a torn triceps.

Hall played 11 games at Arkansas in 2008 before transferring to Mississippi, where he started the entire 2011 season before transferring to Belhaven University.

Porter, a rookie WR out of TCU, had been signed as a college free agent.
