Colorado State football picked up its fifth verbal commitment for the 2020 recruiting cycle Wednesday afternoon. Brian Crespo, a 6-foot-7, 320-pound, offensive tackle out of Poudre High School in Fort Collins, announced his intention to stay home via Twitter.
According to Crespo’s Twitter page, the local tackle picked up an offer from CSU on March 30. Crespo also holds offers from Abilene Christian, Northern Colorado and New Mexico State per Eddie Herz of 247Sports.
Crespo’s recruitment makes sense when looking at the size of CSU’s current offensive line. The massive offensive tackle may take some time to develop but with a frame like that, offensive coordinator Dave Johnson must be thrilled.
NCAA rules prohibit coaches from commenting on players before they have signed a National Letter of Intent. The early period for the 2020 recruiting circuit begins December 18.
