The mark of a successful coaching staff is other teams wanting to hire away assistants and promote them to higher positions. The first one of those dominoes officially fell on Monday for Gary Kubiak’s staff.
Brian Callahan, who served six seasons with the Broncos as an offensive assistant with additional duties coaching quarterbacks, has been hired by the Detroit Lions to be their quarterbacks coach.

Brian is the son of former NFL head coach Bill Callahan. In Detroit, he joins back up with Jim Bob Cooter, another former Broncos assistant who was made the team’s offensive coordinator last season.
Don’t expect this to be the last time another team wants somebody off of this Super Bowl-champion staff.
