Lauren Gardner, the terrific, popular sideline reporter and studio host with the Avalanche and Altitude TV and radio, will leave the network within the next two weeks.
Gardner will be leaving for a new job at a national network. The official hire has yet to be named by her new employer, so we’ll hold off on naming it here. She announced the departure today on her Twitter feed.
It comes with mixed emotions that I announce I’m leaving the @AltitudeTV family later this month for a wonderful opportunity and the next step in my career. I can’t thank everyone enough for making this experience so special. – Stay tuned #GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/mhX7njny3C

Gardner, a University of Colorado graduate and former Denver Broncos cheerleader, has had previous national network experience with CBS, Fox Sports and ESPN.
Who will replace Gardner?
“The search is on! It’s wide open,” executive vice president and general manager at Altitude Ken Miller told BSN Denver. “Lauren was so versatile. (She) will be tough to replace. It’s a big loss for us, but we’re really excited for her.”
On a personal note, Lauren is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in this business. So many people in this business – and I’m No. 1 in this – just kind of hit and run with greetings and salutations. Lauren always seemed to be genuinely interested when she asked “How are you?”
All the best to LGRed.
