The Broncos roller coaster at the quarterback position continues. Brock Osweiler has led his team to a 3-1 record since taking over as the Broncos starting quarterback on November 22nd but changes may be brewing at Dove Valley as Peyton Manning continue’s his rehab.
Kubiak has left himself open to whatever he finds is best for his team as he hasn’t made a certain proclamation to name either Brock the starter for the rest of the year or to go back to his aging 38 year old quarterback in Manning. For now the Broncos will operate as they have been with Osweiler as the starter but now with a sputtering Broncos offense the idea of Manning returning isn’t as taboo’d as it once was.
Kubiak – Nothing has changed until I sit down and see where Peyton’s at

Manning and Kubiak will meet on Monday afternoon to see where he is in his rehab and then to devise a plan going forward. Kubiak did say that when Manning returns to the practice field it will be to work towards the goal of getting back on the playing field.
More on QBs “hey, I know how we ended and I know what I’ve been doing since 5 o’clock. Im evaluating and will chat with Peyton.”

This might be the most telling quote Kubiak has given in recent weeks about his quarterback situation. He says he’s aware how poorly the offensive unit has been and they need to evaluate it to see what can be done to fix it. Manning may not be the answer to all of the offenses problems especially not knowing what level of health he’ll have when/if he returns to the football field, but it sounds like Kubiak will certainly entertain the idea of giving the offense back to the future Hall of Famer.
