The Kroenke family, Stan, Ann, Whitney and Josh, are coming together to donate $1 million “on behalf of their sports organizations and business entities” to the Red Cross to help assist in relief efforts after the catastrophe in Houston due to Hurricane Harvey.

“Our family’s thoughts are with those affected by Hurricane Harvey,” Ann Walton Kroenke said in a prepared statement.

This is not the first time that a business entity or someone affiliated with the Nuggets organization has done what they could to help out with victims of Hurricane Harvey. Kroenke Sports and Entertainment Charities started a donation matching fundraiser last week that will reach upward of $10,000 while Torrey Craig, who has a two-way contract with the Nuggets and has been working out with the team since mid-July, was recently volunteering at a Red Cross telethon.

The Red Cross released a statement following the donation thanking the Kroenke family and all donors who have done what they can to help.

“The Red Cross is working around the clock in very challenging conditions in Texas to help people impacted by Hurricane Harvey,” said Gail McGovern, President and CEO of the American Red Cross. “We couldn’t do it without the generosity of our amazing donors – such as Stan, Ann, Whitney and Josh Kroenke. With their commitment, the Red Cross can be there to deliver shelter, food, and the necessary supplies to ensure people are cared for, and to help dura the recovery process. We’re extremely grateful for their meaningful support of our humanitarian effort.”
