This weekend could shape the future of Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. After dominating the transfer portal over the last two seasons, the Buffs’ recruiting staff has shifted their focus onto the 2025 recruiting class and will have at least eight 2025 recruits visiting Boulder today through Sunday.
Five-star quarterback Julian “Juju” Lewis headlines a group of visitors that could become the backbone of future Buff teams under Coach Prime.

Julian Lewis is a five-star quarterback for Carrolton High School in Carrolton, GA. He is the ninth overall player and second-ranked quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class. This weekend will be an official visit and the third visit Lewis has taken to Boulder since January. He was ranked the top quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class before reclassifying to the 2025 class in January.
Lewis is currently committed to USC and took an official visit to see Lincoln Riley on June 7th but has officially visited Indiana, Auburn and now Colorado this summer. Buff Nation has responded to the interest Lewis has shown this year with #WeWantJuju on social media to recruit the phenom quarterback to Boulder. Colorado’s recruiting staff has relentlessly recruited the 2025 class to find Shedeur Sanders’ successor and Julian Lewis appears to be their number one target.
