In college, Jimmer Fredette was the definition of a must-watch whenever he stepped on the hardwood, however, many haven’t heard from the former AP Player of the Year since he was drafted back in 2011.

Since then, Fredette has had stints with the Kings, where he played in 171 games over three seasons, then jumped from the Bulls to the Pelicans, and then to the Knicks last year, not playing more than eight regular season games with any of those teams.

Fredette is looking for a new start, a fresh beginning, and that’s what he’ll get with Denver as the 27-year-old will join the Nuggets at Summer League on July 8. Fredette spends his offseason in Colorado and has also been working out at Pepsi Center this summer with Nuggets players.

With Fredette in tow, the Nuggets become one of the more fascinating teams in Las Vegas.

No. 7 overall pick Jamal Murray brings the star power, while Antwan Scott, Josh Scott and Josh Adams will have the Colorado faithful buzzing all week long. No. 15 overall pick Juan Hernangomez will be at Summer League, something that was in doubt until earlier this week when the Spanish Basketball Federation announced the 20-year-old would bypass the Olympic games in favor of playing with the Nuggets this summer. Axel Toupane should also be in Las Vegas while Emmanuel Mudiay and Nikola Jokic could join the team at Summer League as well.

Ondrej Balvin, a Czech-born big man who plays for Estudiantes in Spain with 2015 second-round pick and another’ Summer League hopeful Nikola Radicevic, will be in Las Vegas as well. I wrote on Balvin here, who’s a high energy big man that’s hoping to land an NBA contract this year.

The Nuggets haven’t sent out their full roster for Summer League yet, but expect a formal announcement in the coming days and a mini-camp next week at Pepsi Center before the teams heads to the desert.

BSN Denver will be at Summer League in full force to give you the latest Nuggets analysis from Las Vegas all week long.
