Looks like Former Nugget JaVale McGee is looking for a new home.
After acquiring the big man from Denver at the trade deadline, the 76ers have reached an agreement to buy out the remainder of his contract for this season and next, making JaVale a free agent.
McGee averaged 3.o ppg and 2.2 rpg in six games with Philadelphia.
JaVale initially did not want a buyout for business reasons.
“I don’t want to get bought out,” McGee said. “That’s not a positive thing. When you think about it, you don’t get all of your money when you get bought out.
“So it doesn’t make sense why someone would want to get bought out unless they are older, older and they want to go to a contender or something. I’m not that old. I just want to play basketball.”
Don’t worry JaVale, it looks like you’re still getting all of your money. Earned or not.
