2017’s Rising Stars Game’s Most Valuable Player Jamal Murray followed up that performance with one that was almost as good. In a season where Murray has been one of the breakout players in the NBA, his All-Star Weekend was once again a good one.
Scoring 21 points in 24 minutes of action, the Denver Nuggets’ young point guard helped the World team to a 155-124 win over the USA squad.
Murray was second for the World team in scoring with that mark of 21 on 8-of-14 shooting. He was also second on the team in both assists and rebounds, dishing out seven and snatching six off of the glass.
The sophomore from Kentucky is averaging 16.5 points 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds and shooting 46.2 percent from the field this season.
The Blue Arrow certainly fit in right alongside Donovan Mitchell, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and the other Rising Stars of the NBA in Hollywood. If those pretty pink sneakers are any indicator followed by his performance, the Canadian continues to show all the confidence in the world, no matter who is on the court.
Here are the highlights of Murray:
