FORT COLLINS, Colo.— Niko Medved and his staff have stayed true to their roots when it comes to the 2020 recruiting cycle.
After landing a verbal commitment from Illinois earlier this week, Colorado State men’s basketball picked up another verbal commitment from the midwest on Friday. Jacob Jennissen, a 6-foot-11, 205-pound center out of Minnesota, announced his commitment to the Rams via Twitter.
“I am extremely excited to announce I have committed to attend Colorado State University in the coming year,” Jennissen said.
Jennissen will give the Rams some depth in the paint to build around after Nico Carvacho eventually moves on to play professionally.
Jennissen has great footwork for a man of his size and he’s very skilled around the basket. Once the staff helps him put on some muscle, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the post. Playing for the Sauk Centre High School last season, the big man averaged 15 points on 60 percent shooting and brought down 9.7 rebounds per game.
