Demaryius Thomas‘ contract extension wasn’t the only thing Peyton Manning had to celebrate last night. Peyton took home the award for “Best Record Breaking Performance” at the 23rd annual ESPY awards last night. Manning’s record breaking performance of Brett Favre‘s touchdown record beat out Devin Hester for most career punt returns, Lauren Chamberlain for most career NCAA softball homeruns, and Klay Thompson for most points in a quarter to take home the ESPY.
Manning broke Favre’s record for most career touchdown passes on October 19th of last year in a game vs the San Francisco 49ers. Manning sat next to Favre at the ceremony, and Favre according to Manning, was babysitting Peyton’s daughter Mosley while his dad accepted his award.
Here’s the full video of Peyton getting his award for touchdown #509.
