WINNIPEG, Manitoba – It’s minus-42 degrees here in Winnipeg tonight, with the wind chill factor. Seriously. Almost as cold (rim shot please) was the Colorado Avalanche offense. Avs lose 3-0, to finish up a 2-3-1 road trip.
When you can’t score on a 2-on-zero break-in, like Matt Nieto and Gabriel Bourque had tonight, you know it’s probably not your night.
The Avs’ dressing room cleared out pretty quick tonight, so not a ton of audio. Plus, after road games, the team always runs around like their pants are on fire, loading up their gear to get to the airport and on to the next stop.
So, we have three offerings here. First, up, Matt Nieto, who talks about that ill-fated 2-on-none, which could have tied the game and made this a different kind of night.
Next up, Mikko Rantanen, who was pretty blunt in his assessment of how the Avs’ offense performed:
Finally, coach Bednar:
See you next time…
