"I'ma beat his a**": Aqib Talib won't forget Harry Douglas' dirty play

After a tough loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Denver Broncos two star cornerbacks are still steaming about Harry Douglas’ dirty block.

“He got the same agent as me, so when I see his ass in Atlanta I’ma beat his ass,” Aqib Talib said postgame, not mixing words.

In the midst of a 19-play drive that lasted the majority of the second quarter, Chris Harris Jr. took a serious hit to the knee on a dirty chop block by the Titans veteran wide receiver.

On the next play, as Douglas was lined up across Aqib Talib on a run play on third and short, Talib and Douglas went at it, with Harris’ teammate intent on delivering punishment. The two ended up on the far sideline, and Talib jumped on Douglas who was already on the ground. The Titans sideline eventually got involved, and the two were broken up with Aqib being flagged for a personal foul in the process.

“It just angers you because somebody is out here trying to end your career,” said Harris about the matter. “Trying to take your legs out. I can’t believe he did that. That’s not football.”

“That’s dirty,” added the pro bowler. “He should be fined. That’s not football… Never had a guy try to end my career like that.”

The Broncos did seem to rally after the dirty play and Harris was able to return to the field playing the rest of the game. He said his knee felt sore but would be fine going forward.

Douglas’ actions certainly warrant action from the NFL who’ll have to evaluate the situation and decide on discipline.
