AJ, Great documentation of what went down. After reading your article, Rantanen should not have been stunned. The Avs gave him every chance to resign and he didn’t. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for both teams the rest of the season and into the playoffs. Especially the individual stats for Mikko and Necas before and after the trade. I will miss the Big Moose, I won’t miss the lazy unengaged turn over and mistake prone Mikko. He could be so Great. Will he be? Or was it only with Nate and Cale???

Are you saying they had a deal in place as it is and then talked a final time to Mikko’s agent and they said no to the 11 sumpim sumpim that was on the table? Then Mikko is fibbing when he says he is shocked.
