The dream is building for many Broncos fans.

Christian McCaffrey, son of legendary Bronco Ed McCaffrey, is set to take a visit to Denver headquarters on Thursday, as first reported by Ian Rappoport of NFL Network.

This goes down as the second visit between the two parties, the first coming at the NFL combine.

“That would be awesome. That would be great. I would love to play there,” McCaffrey said of coming to Denver at the combine. “But it’s kind of hard to be a fan of anywhere anymore cause you start to wind down things and you don’t know where you’re going to end up. I’ll be happy to play for anybody.”

Originally viewed as a late first-round type, the Stanford standout has seen his stock skyrocket as the draft evaluation process has gone on. It is now believed that even at 20, the Broncos would have to move up the board if they wanted the McCaffrey legacy to go on in Denver, but he may be worth it.

Just this week, head coach Vance Joseph talked about how his offense needed more juice, from the running back and wide receiver positions. Well, McCaffrey could instantly provide that added juice to both groups. On top of being a star at the running back position, the Denver native is a fantastic receiver.

In just three years at Stanford, the Heisman candidate caught for more than 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns to go along with his nearly 4,000 yards and 21 TDs on the ground.

It’s no secret that the Broncos have potentially more pressing issues than offensive juice, but you would be hard-pressed to find a player who fills multiple needs as well as the hometown kid.
