Gino Gradkowski was introduced to the Denver media via conference call this afternoon. Gradkowski spoke at length about playing in Kubiak’s system and learning from Rick Dennison.
Gino was asked about working with Dennison directly and spoke about working through his injury issues. “It was tough. I came out of it a better player and a better person. I have a chip on my shoulder.”
We asked Gradkowski to elaborate on that chip. “Just going a year without playing, only dressed a little over half the season. I feel fired up about that.”
Gradkowski went on to say that he has been healthy since he got his knee scoped out at the end of the 2013 season. He was healthy at the start of training camp 2014, but his opportunity may have been limited by his injury.
A 16 game starter in 2013, Gradkowski seems eager to prove what he is capable of and with familiarity with Kubiak and Dennison, he should get every opportunity to do just that.
