Rivalries die hard.
Garrett Grayson isn’t even with the Colorado State Rams any longer; he’s graduated to the NFL and the New Orleans Saints. But, even though he’s left Fort Collins, Grayson still has a great disdain for the Wyoming Cowboys.
Yesterday, after the Rams 26-7 win over their Mountain West rivals, Grayson had this to say:
Last 2 yrs @stevens7nick and I combined for 7 incompletions in the #BorderWar congrats @wyo_football another bottom of the barrel yr for u.

Ooh, burn. Stevens played well for the Rams, going 11-15 for 120 yards in the win, leaning on the remarkable running of Dalyn Dawkins and Izzy Matthews.
Seriously though, can anyone remember a worse Wyoming football team than the one we witnessed in Laramie yesterday? They were atrocious all around and were only able to finally score a touchdown when the Rams put in the second team defense late in the blowout victory.
In fact, Colorado State jumped out to such a tremendous 26-0 lead, scoring on their first four drives of the day, another former Rams player in Ty Sambrailo tweeted, too:

Beating Wyoming is fun. Beating their brains out in Laramie is even better.
Colorado State didn’t hang 60 on the Cowboys, and even head coach Mike Bobo admitted his Rams should’ve put the Cowboys away in the third quarter calling it “disappointing” but the win did keep CSU’s bowl hopes alive.
Sambrailo and Grayson were part of those teams the last two seasons to make — and win — the New Mexico Bowl and then attend the Las Vegas Bowl. Making a bowl this year would be a third straight appearance for Colorado State, at 4-5 overall currently, they must win two of three of their final games to have a chance. In reality, the Rams should hope to win out to play in a bowl this December.
