Gabe Landeskog: "I'm disappointed in myself"

Here is the video of Gabe Landeskog, who moments ago talked about his four-game suspension. One of his main themes was expressed in the headline here.

Landeskog, the Avs’ first-line left wing and captain, will serve the suspension immediately and miss the rest of this crucial five-game homestand. The decision on the suspension was made by former Avs enforcer George Parros, who now works in the NHL’s Player Safety Department.

Landeskog said he apologized to Matthew Tkachuk on the next shift after the incident.

A couple of lineup notes for Wednesday’s game against the hot Winnipeg Jets:

  • Semyon Varlamov will return in goal.
  • Andrei Mironov will be a healthy scratch, which means Anton Lindholm will replace him in the defensive lineup. Lindholm will be paired with Tyson Barrie. Mark Barberio will be paired with Nikita Zadorov.
  • Sven Andrighetto will skate in Landeskog’s spot, at left wing, on a line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.
