“Friday On The Rox” is BSN Denver’s weekly highlights from baseball, and other stuff! It’s our favorite links, articles, gifs, Vines, stories, pictures, tweets, or really anything that we like that we saw in the world from the week. Of course, we’ll make it Rockies-centric.
It’s October 9th and the LDS is now fully underway for both leagues. The Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs won their respective wildcard games earlier in the week. So far not one of the four playoff games have been won by the home team. It’s a great time to be a baseball fan despite the Rockies not partaking in any of the playing.

I won’t often post BSN Denver’s own content in our “Friday On The Rox” series, but I feel as though I can break that rule for Rich Kurtzman’s story which needs no introduction.

Rich’s story is very important for all sports fans to read.
Purple Row/ Bryan Kilpatrick // Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado could see $6 million salary increase
The most interesting thing this offseason will be watching how the Rockies handle everything regarding and surrounding Nolan Arenado. I wrote about it last offseason, “Price of Gold: Rising“, but my buddy BK from Purple Row talks about Nolan’s impeding case for Super Two and what arbitration would mean for the Rockies.

The Rockies beat man for the Post had some interesting things to say regarding Rockies pitching, including a few quotes from Jeff Bridich.

Music for the weekend: The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach’s new side project is “The Arcs.” They just released an album called “Yours, Dreamily,”. The second half of the album, I find more favorable to the first half which has the two singles on it (both solid tracks in their own right). Anyways here is my favorite song from the record, have a great weekend.
