The playmakers just keep coming for Colorado State. Ryan Krous of Scout.com reported Saturday night that the Rams nabbed four-star wide receiver Tyler Smith from McEachern High School in Georgia.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder played sparingly with the Indians due to a pair of knee injuries suffered during his junior and senior seasons. But it was the receiver’s 2014-15 campaign that had college coaches across the nation drooling.

In his sophomore season, the McEachern standout totaled 48 catches for 936 yards and 15 total touchdowns. Smith received offers from Auburn, Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina State before verbally committing to North Carolina. Once he decommitted earlier in the week, Mike Bobo and the Rams jumped on the chance to add another offensive weapon.

Scout.com ranks Smith as the fifth best receiver in Georgia and inside the nation’s top 50. For what he lacks in size, Smith makes up for in elusiveness. The Georgia product figures to take on a role similar to Detrich Clark from a year ago, at least for now.

Bobo will have Smith at his disposal for the 2017 season.
