Coach Mike Bobo and Colorado State made a pretty big splash during their bye week, nabbing a receiver that spent time in the ACC. Demarre Kitt, a four-star receiver in Clemson’s 2014 recruiting class, tweeted Sunday that he will join the green and gold.
A 6-foot-1, 185-pounder, Kitt played just one season for the Tigers. He posted five catches for 47 yards.
Kitt then went the junior college route, spending this season at Highland Community College in Kansas. In seven games, he’s nabbed 30 catches for 489 yards and four touchdowns.
The receiver will be eligible to play immediately in 2017 and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
What could be more interesting is the possibility of Kitt on one side and Michael Gallup, a budding star, on the other for the Rams. Gallup has recorded 36 receptions for 570 yards and five touchdowns in 2016.
Whether it’s Nick Stevens, Collin Hill or someone else at quarterback for CSU, it’s safe to say that they shouldn’t have much trouble finding a playmaker on the outside.
