Kevin McGlue, who has called Colorado Eagles games on the radio since their inception 13 years ago, is up for serious consideration of the Avalanche’s likely, vacant radio play-by-play job.
With Marc Moser expected to be the new TV play-by-play man, the radio job is being advertised to prospective suitors.
The red tape is slow at Kroenke Sports, so it may still be a bit before Moser is named as the official replacement to Mike Haynes, who vacated the post recently. But barring some kind of corporate change of heart, the wheels are in motion for Moser to take the reins of the TV job, alongside Peter McNab.
McGlue is well-regarded in the Eagles’ organization, and was interviewed recently at KSE. The Eagles are now the AHL affiliate of the Avalanche.

I hope he comes unglued when he calls Avs goals! And I’m glad McNabb is staying. I think he was a shoe-in if you know what I mean.

Shoe-in! I see what you did there. (Although It was McNab’s teammate Mike Milbury, who did the sole assault.
