Colton starts the show with “The Breakdown” presented by O’Neills by recapping the 2021 RugbyTown Sevens, talking about the latest Premier Rugby Sevens news, and the Major League Rugby draft (0:00-12:03). Following “The Breakdown”, Colton chats with USA Rugby sevens player and Tokyo 2020 Olympian Cody Melphy about his rugby career, the Olympics, and capitalizing on opportunities (12:05-44:09). Following the interview, Colton assigns some Colorado XO-related “Required Reading”, and closes the show with “The Loop” (44:10-46:36).

Cody Melphy is from Littleton, Colorado, and grew up playing soccer before making the switch to rugby in high school. After playing soccer for one year at Metropolitan State University, Melphy left school and began playing rugby with the Glendale Raptors and the Littleton Eagles. He went back to school to play rugby for Life University in Georgia before joining the United States Army Elite Athlete Program to pursue a career in rugby. His decision paid off. Melphy has been a part of the Eagles’ sevens team since 2018, and recently returned from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games after making his debut in the United States third match against South Africa.
