DNVR Rugby Podcast: The Voice of Major League Rugby Dan Power

Colton begins the show with “The Breakdown” by talking about the latest Colorado XO news, what’s going on with Premier Rugby 7s, and all of the rugby you can watch this weekend (0:00-9:10). After “The Breakdown”, Colton catches up with the voice of Major League Rugby Dan Power. The two talk about the Major League Rugby Championship Series, whether Dan would be a scratch golfer or go to space, and how close he was to becoming an NFL punter (9:15-41:11). After the interview, Colton assigns some “Required Reading” and talks about what’s coming up in “The Loop” (41:13-44:57).

Dan Power is the lead commentator for Major League Rugby and handles all play-by-play duties for nationally broadcast matches on ESPN, Fox Sports, and CBS Sports. When he is not calling matches for MLR, he is co-hosting MLR Kickoff, the official Major League Rugby podcast. Prior to his broadcasting career, Power was a member of AS Carcassonne in the French Elite 1 League before joining the New York Athletic Clubs of the Rugby Super League.
