Colton Strickler Avatar
May 14, 2021

Colton jumps into the show with “The Breakdown” by recapping the Colorado XOs’ 36-35 loss to the Hartford Harpooners last Saturday before previewing all of the rugby you can watch this weekend (0:00-11:13). After “The Breakdown”, Colton talks with Colorado XO scrum-half and captain Michael Bandy about his rugby experience, how the opportunity to compete in The Spring League came about, and how difficult of a decision it was to leave the team with three weeks left to play (11:14-31:24). After the interview, Colton assigns an entire book for “Required Reading” and closes the show with “The Loop” (32:30-34:18).

Michael Bandy comes to rugby from the University of San Diego. Bandy was a two-time All American wide receiver for the Toreros, catching 192 passes for 3,294 yards and 28 touchdowns over his four-year career. He was named captain of the Colorado XOs prior to the start of the spring and scored two tries – including the first try ever scored by the Colorado XOs – in the seven matches that he played before departing for The Spring League. Bandy is currently playing wide receiver for the Conquerors in The Spring League.
