Colton Strickler Avatar
April 23, 2021

Colton starts “The Breakdown” by talking about the Colorado XOs’ victory over Clemson, their upcoming match against Pathway 404 in Atlanta, and a crossover athlete experiment in MLR before wrapping up with all of the rugby you can watch this weekend (0:00-15:52). After “The Breakdown”, Colton chats with Colorado XO No. 8 Leonard Sagapolutele about growing up in American Samoa, his football career, and how he is liking the transition to rugby (15:54-32:09). After the interview, Colton assigns some “Required Reading” and closes the show with some exciting news for two former Raptors in “The Loop” (32:10-35:52).

Leonard Sagapolutele played defensive line for New Mexico Military Institute and Adams State University before making the switch to rugby and joining the Colorado XOs. Originally from American Samoa, Sagapolutele played basketball, soccer, and football growing up. He was in the middle of a solid first season with the XOs before injuring his ankle in Colorado’s 38-28 victory over Belmont Shore.
