DNVR Rugby Podcast: Colorado XO Lock Max Dacey

Colton starts the show with “The Breakdown” by recapping the Colorado XOs’ 35-18 loss to Mystic River last Saturday before previewing their final match of the season against LA Loyals Elite. Colton then chats about some MLR news, a professional sevens circuit, and all of the rugby you can watch this weekend (0:00-13:24). After “The Breakdown”, Colton talks with Colorado XO lock Max Dacey about his rugby career, the surprises that have come out of the XO program, and taking risks (13:25-30:50). After the interview, Colton assigns some “Required Listening” and closes the show with “The Loop” (30:51-33:07).

Max Dacey may be young, but he is one of the most experienced rugby players on the Colorado XOs. He began his rugby career at six years old and is currently in his second stint with the Glendale organization. He was a member of the Glendale Academy side back in 2017 and returns to the Colorado XOs after back surgery kept him sidelined for nearly three years.
