Colton starts the show with “The Breakdown” by talking about the news of Colorado XOscrum-half and captain Michael Bandy signing with the Los Angeles Chargers, some USA Sevens news, and all of the rugby you can watch this weekend (0:00-9:34). Following “The Breakdown”, Colton catches up with Colorado XO and Los Angeles Giltini lock Shawn Clark about his experience with the Giltinis, his thoughts on his first year of rugby, and how he’s planning on spending the rest of the summer (9:36-22:38). After the interview, Colton does not assign any “Required Reading” and talks about snake drafts and a trip to Seattle in “The Loop” (22:40-25:38).

Shawn Clark played tight end for Monmouth University from 2015-2o19. He finished his career with 27 receptions for 368 yards and six touchdowns. Clark’s best season came in 2019, where he caught 19 passes for 259 yards and four touchdowns and earned himself a workout with the Indianapolis Colts. He joined the Colorado XOs after competing in The Spring League’s fall tournament in San Antonio, Texas. He appeared in nine of the 10 matches that the XOs played in 2021 and scored three tries. His play in those nine games earned him a deal with the Los Angeles Giltinis after the XOs’ inaugural season concluded in May.
