Colton Strickler sits down with Colorado Raptors No. 8 Sam Slade for a conversation about winning the 2017 World Championship with the New Zealand under-20 team, his path to the Raptors and the state of the team heading into their Round 2 matchup against the San Diego Legion.

Slade is a new face to the Raptors organization in 2020. Having only been in the United States for a few weeks, Slade stuffed the stat sheet in the Raptors season-opening loss to the Houston SaberCats. He finished the match with a league-high 17 tackles on defense while also adding eight carries for 40 meters on offense.
