The Colorado Rapids crashed out of the CONCACAF Champions League. Comunicaciones F.C held on tight in snowy conditions to go on to the next round. The Rapids came into the game down one-nil in aggregate and they were able to level it quickly with a goal by the debuting Max Alves. It was still not enough as they were not able to score another goal and they lost it all in a penalty shoot-out. Now the boys in burgundy have to pivot quickly as they face LAFC in their MLS season opener on Saturday in a nationally televised game.
