Kicker Brandon McManus has been released by the Denver Broncos. The 31-year-old kicker was the last remaining player from the Super Bowl 50 team. Sean Payton and the Broncos now have to go out and get a replacement late into the offseason. Was the decision to let him go based on performance? Is Sean Payton trying to send a message to the team?

  1. Cat. Hat.

We have a locally famous type of Melon from Dixon Montana. I used to work at a grocery store and would await their arrival each year. I would then get on the PA about every hour to proclaim, in a very slow voice, “ attention folks, Dixon Melons Have arrived. That’s right, Dixon Melons”. I was not fired from this job, but let’s just say my HR file was rather thick.

    Love
    The Count

I really hate the Brandon McManus move. Kickers regularly have down years but bounce back frequently. I think back to the time Mason Crosby and Robbie Gould both had a down year. The Bears fell into kicker purgatory by cutting Gould, which cost them a playoff game. Meanwhile, the Packers trusted that Crosby would bounce back and didn’t have to worry about their kicking again for years. Gould went on to bounce back as well…just on a different team. If you have even a mediocre kicker, they are worth keeping because they’re so hard to come by. I really hope the Broncos find someone quickly, because as a franchise, we’ve been very fortunate with our kicking situation.

  3. Fellas,

If we had a punter competition between Matt – Punt God – Araiza and Riley DixonGOAT in training camp, would that call for a punter scoreboard? What would be on it?

Don’t think about Dixon’s new nickname too hard lol

    Cheers,
    Brisbaby

  4. So, the Avalanche won a championship last year, and the Nuggets are going to win a championship this year… Screw it! The universe is broken. The Broncos are a lock for the Super Bowl next season! LET’S GO!!!
