  • My Boys!… haha

Damn I missed the cut yesterday! Haha I’ve already learned that it makes me look forward to a pod way more when I’m waiting for my comment to be read! Hint… everyone thinking about subscribing needs to pull the trigger!

I hope everyone is doing good, you guys and the entire dnvr crew crushed the draft coverage! And the Broncos absolutely killed the draft. Anyone that doesn’t like the KJ pick needs to go watch some of his film! Guy is a burner, and tries on absolutely every play. Not the best blocker sometimes but how can you expect him to be a great blocker at his size.

Alright I have 2 questions. First my football question is, how old were you when you started actually watching, paying attention about football? How did the Broncos do that year? Or for mase how did the bucs do? For me I was 10 or 11, it was the year that we lost to the Steelers in the afc championship with Jake the snake. I remember balling at the end of that game haha.

My non football question for you to ponder is, if a person is born def what language do they think in? Hmmmm

  • Hey guys on yesterday’s talk of the 2021 URFA I feel like one very very important name was missed. Spotrac shows David Bakhtiari is set to be a free agent I’m sure it would be expensive but man imagine bringing the Colorado kid home.

  • Hey gents, I know it wasn’t long ago that many in Broncos Country believed the clock was beginning to tick on Elway’s tenure as GM in Denver. The ownership situation definitely has a big role to play in the whole situation, but what’s the outlook on his tenure these days? Where would you set the over/under on the number of years he’ll remain in Denver?

  • Hey y’all

Friday Fun Fact: Peanuts are not nuts at all, but actually legumes. Plan your weekend accordingly. I’ll see myself out.

    God Bless

  • Day 15 of the Jersey Challenge gents! Today were onto the Green Bay Packers!

I’m going with Zac’s favorite player Aaron Rodgers. I really don’t care what anyone says otherwise, he is the most gifted thrower I’ve ever seen. Call it “arm talent” or what you will, he is a very special player.

I will now stand by for the salt.

    Have a good weekend guys!

  • You partner asks you to give up watching 3 of the following major sports forever. In this scenario You agree. Which 3 do you sever ties with and why?

    College BB
    College FB

No watching them. No listening on radio. No watching the highlights. Maybe you can sneak a read in the paper about them but better not get caught.

    The Count

    The Count

  • Hey friends. The Broncs already signed the Bengals QB we wanted! I luv the Red rocket, I can’t wait to see if the issue was with Andy or the Bungles? My guess is it was Cincinnati? An all time 63 players were selected from the SEC! That equals 1 of every 4 picks taken. GO BRONCOS

  • Hey boys,
Love the pods would you guys ever consider having guests? Such as Brandon Perna?
    Drew Locker

  • Are there any other players outside of tackle that the broncos might be interested in for the supplemental draft? Maybe Dylan Moses?

  • Alright, here’s my favorite question to ask people. If you could have one selfish wish, what would it be? No world peace or anything like that, that’s obvious. Make it selfish. Mine would be that anything I eat is good for me/healthy. No matter what. Burgers, ice cream, wings, etc. All of it is good for my body. So, what about you?

  • Hey guys,
Listening a couple days ago I was struggling to agree with you guys on Patrick Queen. Most draft experts saw him as the best inside linebacker and obviously a need for us. Also if Fangio loves him then why not go up and get him. Obviously the cost being Hamler, Cushenberry and Albert O. So I decided to let math decide for me.

I read an article on ESPN predicting 5th year options that will be picked up, we’ll call that success as a first round pick. 19 of 32 are predicted to be picked up, a 59% success rate. I then decided that the success rate of 2nd rounders would be 35%, 3rd rounders, 25% and 4th rounders, 15%, all maybe a little low but they sounded like good numbers. Doing the math, 59% of the time one player will be successful, the same rate. But here’s the kicker, 14% chance two will work out and 1.3% chance they all work out. I’ll take the added chance 2 or 3 work out. It’s just bonus picks like RK said. Might as well play the lotto when the odds are the same that one will work out.

  • Hey fellas !!! So I have no issue picking up bolles 5th it fiscally makes sense …. Given what the market will be for a lt but to have no insurance on bolles is insane to me ….. The tape shows drew is really good avoiding pressure from the outside pass rush but not so much from the interior and I THINK our interior pass blocking is Legit !!! Especially with MUTI !!!! waiting in the winds !!! ….. Keep bolles but get some insurance elway 👍🏾

Question of the day ….. We have a 90 man roster but some key names are gonna be gone

Does Josh Watson and Joe jones survive training camp ?

Who will be the 4th te, beck butt, heurman, or fort (ouch !!!)

Which wr is getting cut ? …..dionte Spencer , daesean Tim Patrick , winfree ….

Out of these people that are clearly on the chop block who has actuall trade value ??? Because elway sent out notice papers before the draft Clearly

P.s. (One thing that is overloot about John Elway in my opinion when he decides something isn’t working on he moves on…..the whole 2017 draft class majority of it gone , John fox wasn’t cutting it …gone !! …flacco and keenum …gone …. Roby wasn’t cutting it gone !!! ……. So I see John making some big cuts putting the team on notice I’ve done my part to help this team win either you guys produce or ur outta here .

Another side bar ….Wonder How Vons Mom feels about Drew Lock and John Elway now lol hmmmmm 🤫….(reasons why ur family shouldn’t speak on your behalf lol )

  • TGIF, fellas! All of the discussion on fruits the past few days, led me down a rabbit hole of compiling a list of Broncos’ players who share a last name with a fruit or flora that produces fruit. The players that I found fitting this category are as follows:

    • Bertrand Berry, DE, 2001-2003
    • Eric Crabtree, WR, 1966-1968
    • Mike Lemon, LB, 1975
    • Bobby Maples, C, 1972-1978
    • Chip Myrtle, LB, 1967-1972
    • Erik Pears, OT, 2006-2007

Sadly, a hard April freeze and coronavirus may cut Palisade Peach production as much as 80% this year. https://coloradosun.com/2020/04/27/palisade-peaches-freeze-colorado/. Also, if you have not tried kiwi berries, I highly recommend doing so.

My question for each of you is what type of fruit would you select to personify the Broncos’ defensive and offensive units in 2020?

On this fruity Friday, I leave you with a quote from Abraham Lincoln, which is apt following Denver’s selection of Jerry Jeudy, the draft in general, and as we watch a young Broncos team blossom and develop: “A man watches his pear tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap.”

Thanks for helping us be all that we can be in the DNVRMY! Also, thanks for engaging with subscribers in the DNVR Lounge last night, while we rewatched one of the best Broncos’ and football games ever in the 1986 AFC Championship Game. I had a blast. Have a great weekend!

  • Hey fellas,
Loved the pod! You guys have been huge in helping me get through these tough times. Thank you for everything you do. I agree with signing the fifth year option for bolles. We can get a Tackle either in the supplemental, or the regular draft next year and let them compete for the spot. Worst case scenario, he gets beaten for the job, and you have a good backup/depth piece in bolles. And it won’t hurt us horribly having paid him the money to sit on the bench, because we will have a cost controlled LT playing. Thoughts?
As always great job! Thank you for all you do! You are essential.

  • it’s kinda interesting to see how much vic clearly loves kj hamler. we heard matt russell say that vic was the driving force behind that pick. even his call with hamler after he got drafted was so….out of character.

at the end of the call, vic says something like ‘alright baby we’ll be back in touch with ya’ with a smile on his face. i’ve heard enough pressers and interviews to know vic doesn’t usually talk like that lol

  • Could you name some college football players that could declare for the supplemental draft and make an impact right away? Also when do the players have to announce that they will be in the supplemental draft?

  • Good afternoon everyone! I was going to say what day it is in my greeting but the quarantine finally got me and I no longer understand how days work so….happy 34th of Junetober?

Following our most recent greatest draft ever I have two compliments, a call out, and one complaint, but don’t worry it isn’t about Zac’s laugh, you’re still adorable buddy!

First compliment is about your live coverage of the draft, ABSOLUTELY EPIC. Way better than watching Goodell dressed like a poor version of Mr. Rogers in his living room, we demand more. Cover everything, supplemental draft….cover it, Jeudy and Hamler are cast in a Papa John’s commercial… DNVR LIVECAST 2.0, Elway makes a car commercial…we wanna see more of RK’s apartment, a new infomercial comes out starring that guy from the Slap Chop commercials that was arrested for biting a hooker….you guessed it, we want it covered by DNVR! Keep it up guys, we love it.

Number two goes out for you guys talking the community off the collective ledge about our O-line situation yesterday. I think we are better off than most people think, Lock has an above average ability to extend plays if his edge protection breaks down, I’d say somewhat Aaron Rodgers-esque (sorry Zac). We beefed up our interior line so we don’t have to worry about pressure up the middle, and if Munchak and Elway are content at tackle, I’m going to put my trust in those matching gold jackets they have.

Call out time RK, I’m calling Manchester on your promise last month that if we draft a Corner in the third round you are going to personally ask Elway if they inquired about his willingness to run backwards. I haven’t seen anything pop up on twitter about it yet, we need this, I’m counting on you.

And lastly Zac I have to say you broke my heart. I spent an entire year waiting for one thing, the first podcast after the draft when you turn our new players’ names into a poem that’s so wonderfully terrible like you did last year that I could actually hear RK bury his face in his hands out of embarrassment. Don’t worry Zac, there’s always next year.

Appreciate you guys and everyone in the Lounge during the draft for making it so fun, sorry for the long comment,

  • Sorry for doubling up, just had another quick question. How is the supplemental draft priority assigned? Is it based off 2019 draft or some kind of estimation of 2020 draft order? Say the bengals and redskins both put in a supplemental first for Alex leatherword who gets him?

  • So let me get this straight. Laremy Tunsil just signed a record 3-year $66 million contract extension and he is 1 of only 4 tackles to have a worse penalty rate than our beloved Garett Bolles!?! I understand that he is probably considered elite on the rest of his snaps, but how can you be that elite with that penalty rate??
Great pod today – I can’t believe I have changed my mind but with how our draft went this year I am thinking we should be picking up Bolle’s 5th year option.
