Since the Broncos won’t have much cap space with an expected massive dead cap hit after moving on from Wilson, Denver will need to find a cost-controlled quarterback. That’s why drafting a quarterback could make the most sense.

If the Broncos do turn to the draft, which quarterback makes the most sense?

Could Denver trade with the Chicago Bears to land the No. 1 overall pick and draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye? If not, who is the third-best quarterback in the draft? Is it Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., who has had a fanatic season, highlighted by a tremendous performance against Texas in the College Football Playoff semifinal? Or is the LSU’s Heisman winner Jayden Daniels?

How much would it cost the Broncos to trade up for either of those quarterbacks?
