  • DNVR Family I extended a humble plea On behalf of The well being of humanity And yourselves.

Can we please arrest our judgements on players’ Perceived intellects and how that will effect them on the football field?

I, of course, have spent many guilty occasions doing the same in the past. I remember hearing an interview with Frank Gore early In his career where I chided him for his inEloquence and essentially wrote him off.

Boy was I wrong. All of us carry with us a unique set of tools and a way of using them that is particular to our individual beings. To judge one another based on an arbitrary standard that you deem acceptable is the acme of foolishness.

I’m referencing, of course, the shade thrown at players like Jerry Jeudy who don’t “fit the mold” of who we want our superstar to be – people saying things like Larry Fitzgerald “did it the right way!” And insinuating that others should follow suit.

Last I checked there is no one single way to be a great football player other than by being a great football player, the most idolized therein often being the men that performed their craft in a unapologetic manner that resounds in our memories with a resplendent uniqueness and are thereby protected from a fulfillment of the status quo.

Our favorite guys are the guys that just whip opponents collective asses and win games, aren’t they?

    The Count

  • ….was the bachelorette next season? Who do you think would get the final rose?

Football question: Who gets more recieving yards and TD’s this season:
    A. TE room as collective
    B. WR2

  • Happy Schedule release. This season better happen or the fall is going to be the autumn of alcohol. Speaking of, RK you replied to my post 2 pods ago saying I must be young for never having had a hangover. Well the 30 in my name is not only for TD and Phil. But also for my age when I became a subscriber. But your answer to why I was still drunk in the morning makes sense. I finished driving king at 1 and woke up at 6 for my job. Luckily I just work on the phone so I was just a little slurred.
Keep up the best sports coverage in the land.

  • Hey, guys. I *just* got done with my finals and a full week of work at my grocery store. I don’t know about the stores in Denver, but it’s been CRAZY here in the Land of Lock with folks stocking up every day! Due to school and work, I have unfortunately only been able to listen to the first segment of the pods, but now that school is over, I’m ready for the **three-hour pods**! Thanks for all you do. I really hope Mase and us KC dwellers can still meet up at Joe’s this season!

  • Hey guys,
I’m sure today will revolve around the schedule release so I have a couple questions:

    1. I’m usually excited for this day but this year it seems pointless as there is a big chance the schedule won’t play out according to the release. How was the level of excitement from you guys?

    2. Were you surprised to see the number of quality SNF and MNF games compared to normal? Its usually an NFC east dominated slate but it seems spread out this year. Weirdly the NFL forgot Tom Brady left New England because 5 games is too much. Throw the up and coming Broncos another game. Lock>Stidham.

  • It is clear that the national media has taken a wait and see attitude with Lock. What would it take to “go get Aaron Rodgers”? Not a crazy thought, if we got him and didn’t have to gut the existing team
