  • Great discussion on MacKinnon. He leads the NHL by far in assists/game (Kadri is 2nd). Weaker commentary on EJ and 2nd line – a lot of negativity for a guy and line who scored two thirds of the team’s regulation/non 3 on 3 goals last night, including tying the game in the third period. Too much conjecture, useless/unfair hypotheticals (“if you ignore the two goals…”), and overstated generalizations about EJ’s play. Last point: really good offensive rush and goal crashing by Makar on Newhook’s goal last night – he probably deserved an assist.
