What did we learn from the Avalanche's Game 1 win over the Stars?

AJ: To me, it was telling that Stars head coach Pete DeBoer immediately used his Game 1 postgame presser to both acknowledge the impact of fatigue following the quick turnaround from Game 7 and subtly tell his top scorers that he needs to see more from them.

“You’ve gotta be mentally sharp for 60 minutes to beat [the Avs]… I thought the fatigue from Game 7 hit us… Some of our scoring has to step up.”

I'm curious that with this series set to continue playing every other day until its conclusion when exactly is the fatigue for Dallas going to get any better? Shouldn't it only continue getting worse, especially with Gam...
