Denver Nuggets want to extend Danilo Gallinari

Despite trade rumors earlier in the week, the Denver Nuggets may be looking to extend the contract of forward Danilo Gallinari.

In some ways this could be considered a little surprising since the Nuggets just rewarded Wilson Chandler with a contract extension to keep him in town to play the same position, but the way Gallinari came back from his injury last year, it is certainly in the Nuggets best interest to keep him under their control.

Gallinari came on strong the second half of the season for the Nuggets, looking more like the player he was before his ACL injury he suffered in 2013.
