According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Denver Nuggets are one of many teams placing calls to New York Knicks’ free agent forward Lance Thomas.

After reportedly coming to terms on a three-year contract with Darrell Arthur, the Nuggets still sit below the projected $84.6 million salary floor and will seemingly need to make another addition during free agency.
Thomas, 28, averaged 8.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game last season for the Knicks. The 6-foot-8 versatile wing also shot 44.3 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from three and was one of the lone bright spots for New York during another disappointing season.
A deal for Thomas would likely exceed the team-friendly contract Arthur just signed, but Denver has the cap space to make a competitive offer to Thomas if they choose to pursue the six-year pro who’s also had stops in New Orleans and Oklahoma City.
Thomas can stretch the floor from three, is capable playing the four in small-ball lineups, and is solid on the defensive end of the floor. The Knicks were 3.4 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Thomas on the court last season.
