Plays-that-make-you-Smile-Twin-AspenThe Denver Nuggets have been creating highlights in bulk this season. Whether is a usual suspect like Kenneth Faried aka The Manimal doing Manimal things or newcomers like Emmanuel Mudiay whipping a pass to a teammates against an unsuspecting opponent or Nikola Jokic doing Jokic things, the Nuggets have been an absolute joy to watch — most of the time.

In a rebuilding season, you want to see progress and you come to expect moments that make you want to pull your own hair out. The Nuggets have had an interesting week as they’ve lost Danilo Gallinari to an ankle injury, but have been playing pretty good team basketball in his absence.

Mudiay has stepped up his play as of late, scoring 22 points vs. the Lakers on March 2nd and 25 points against the Nets, in a heartbreaking loss, on March 4th. The now 20 year-old rookie (March 5th birthday) will be playing his first game as a non-teenager later today against the Dallas Mavericks.

Let’s take a look back at some plays of the week for the Nuggets in honor of their former teenage point guard…

Nikola Jokic finds Mudiay for the easy layup, great cut by Emmanuel and pretty pass from Jokic.

Joffrey Lauvergne feeds JaKarr Sampson and Sampson does his best to smash the rim with the power dunk.

D.J. Augustin finds Mudiay inside for the nice reverse layup against the Lakers.

Against the Nets, Mudiay found Jokic in transition and Nikola dropped off a behind the back pass to Faried for the dunk. This was awesome.

Mavericks vs. Nuggets coming up at 3:00 p.m. MT today, let’s see what highlights the fellas make today.
