Throughout the first 48 hours of NBA free agency, teams spent around $2 billion on new player contracts.
The Denver Nuggets, however, have been quieter than most on the open market. Despite signing Darrell Arthur for a modest $23 million over three years, the Nuggets still have around $20 million in cap room and will need to spend at least $10 million of it to get to the salary floor.
Jarnell Stokes, 22, is drawing interest from teams around the league, according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, and the D-League MVP could bolster Denver’s frontline.
D-League MVP Jarnell Stokes has interest from Spurs, Mavs and Nuggets, per sources. He averaged 20.6 PPG (66.5% FG) and 9.3 RPG in D-League.

The 6-foot-6 Stokes spent 2014-15 with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he appeared in 19 games and started this past season in Memphis before getting traded to the Miami Heat. Stokes was then traded to New Orleans in February and was sent to the D-League where he excelled.
Denver also has reported interest in the Heat’s Udonis Haslem, according to the Miami Herald’s Ethan Skolnick.
Haslem, 36, only saw limited action for the Heat across 37 games last season. He doesn’t have much left in the tank but could serve as this year’s Mike Miller if the Nuggets aren’t able to re-sign the sharpshooter who appeared in 46 games with Denver last year. Haslem, of course, won three NBA championship with the Heat.
The Nuggets had reported interest in Haslem back in 2010.
Add Denver to list of teams making STRONG push for Udonis Haslem. Sources say Nuggets also offering deal starting at $5.8M MLE. Link to come
