Denver Nuggets extend Danilo Gallinari

The Nuggets have agreed to extend the contract of forward Danilo Gallinari.

Gallinari deal includes restructuring on 2015-’16 salary that adds $2.5M to overall deal. He’ll make $14M, $15M and $16M over three years.

Tim Connelly told us this morning that they were looking to use their newly acquired financial flexibility, possibly on their own guys, and this is proof of that. Gallinari’s extension now makes him part of a trio of recently re-signed players with Wilson Chandler and Jameer Nelson. The team is also in contract negotiations to bring back forward Darrell Arthur.
