Asking fans to forgive the Nuggets for their first-round exit is one thing. Asking fans to abide by their approach to the home opener was another. And chastising those who refused to do so didn’t help.
What should we say, then, about their effort against the Golden State Warriors? Or the poor messaging from their best players after the game?
Something is wrong in Denver. Something deeper than roster construction. Something that the players and portions of the fan base seem to have very different perspectives on.
