Summer League is just over a week away and the Nuggets are settling in on the final roster they will bring to Las Vegas.
The newest addition is Mateusz Ponitka, a Polish guard who plays for Zielona Góra of the Polish League. In 61 games across all European competition, the 6-foot-6 2-guard averaged 11.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 21.0 minutes per game. Pontika shot 52.7 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three last season.

The 22-year-old burst onto the international scene in 2010 when his Poland squad lost to the United States in the U-17 FIBA World Championship game. Pontika scored 14 points against the likes of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Bradley Beal, and James Michael McAdoo.
Since then, Pontika has gotten run with the Polish senior national team, but his NBA prospects have fizzled. He is coming off an impressive 2015-16 campaign and was recently named the Eurocup Rising Star from last season.
The Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies also reportedly showed interest in Pontika.
Pontika, Jamal Murray, Juan Hernangomez, Jimmer Fredette, Ondrej Balvin, Josh Scott, Josh Adams, and Antwan Scott are all confirmed for Summer League.
