The Denver Broncos made a roster move Tuesday to help add to their depth on the offensive line.
It was announced Tuesday evening that the team signed former Indianapolis Colts tackle Matt Hall and waived wide receiver David Porter.
Hall is entering his second season after sitting out his entire rookie campaign on the Colts’ injured reserve list. In 2009, he played for the University of Arkansas, participating in 11 games. He then transferred to Ole Miss, starting every game at right guard for them in 2011. Hall transferred again, this time to Belhaven University, finishing his college career in 2013. He was invited and participated in the 2014 East-West Shrine Game and signed a deal with the Minnesota Vikings before finding his way to Indy.
Now, Hall is in Denver, as part of an offensive line which has been a major question mark 10 days into training camp. The biggest weak link has seemingly been Chris Clark at right tackle, though left guard Ben Garland has struggled, too.
Porter was a college free agent out of Texas Christian University. Receiver, unlike o-line, is one of Denver’s deepest positions. Which likely made this decision easier.
