The Denver Broncos have worked tirelessly to improve their offensive line — drafting Ty Sambrailo, signing Evan Matthis, picking up Tyler Polumbus when Sambrailo was injured — and now they’ve made another move in an effort to provide depth.
Denver has signed center Sam Brenner off waivers and waived guard Shelley Smith, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
Brenner is a 6-foot-2, 310-pound center who has been in the league for four years, playing in 10 games for the Miami Dolphins, who picked him up as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Smith was signed in the offseason and was also formerly a Miami Dolphins player.
