Denver Broncos rookie TE Jeff Heuerman tears ACL; expected to miss 2015

Jeff Heuerman, the Denver Broncos third-round pick in the 2015 Draft, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Saturday’s rookie mini-camp and will miss the entire 2015 season due to the injury.

Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak said, “I feel terrible for Jeff and this is an unfortunate situation.” He added, “Jeff was going to be a big part of our team this year, and he’s still going to be a big part of our team and organization in the future.”

As for his involvement with the team, the coach said, “He’ll get well and be with us as part of this team throughout his rehabilitation.”
