The Broncos officially began their preparations for Super Bowl 50 on Thursday when they returned to the practice fields at the UC Health training center. Although they have two weeks to prepare for the big game, the second week is an over-hyped media circus that makes this week that much more important when it comes to the key preparations.
“It’s crucial,” Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said. “This is the week to prepare and practice as if we were playing on Sunday. That is what we’ve begun this week and will continue in the next couple days of practice. I thought it was a good start today but it needs to be finished as well to get everyone prepared and on the same page. It’s a challenge next week”
One of the stories that will likely be part of the over-hyped circus next week in Northern California will certainly revolve around Manning’s future and this likely being the final chapter of his storied career. Manning told Patriots head coach Bill Belichick after the AFC Championship game that this was likely his “last rodeo”, but Manning wouldn’t comment further on the matter on Thursday.

Manning also said he “would not confirm” what was said and is just focused on next week.
The Broncos will practice Friday and Saturday at the team’s facility in Englewood before departing for San Jose on Sunday.
