In the Mile High City and all over the Rocky Mountain region, the Denver Broncos are beloved. It’s proven year after year as they’ve sold out every home game since 1970, the only NFL team to do so for the entirety of their NFL existence.
The fantastic fanbase spoke out again Wednesday morning. The Broncos put their single-game tickets on sale, which included “full price” and some “half price” tickets, 2,000 half-price tickets to each home game, to be exact. They had to be purchased through Ticketmaster and some fans had an easy time, which others had complaints about the system via Twitter.
Following their quick sale – only 10 minutes – Broncos vice president of public relations Patrick Smyth tweeted about the quantity:
The very limited “full price” single-game Broncos ticket inventory for reg season, which went on sale at 11 am MT, has sold out in 10 min.

He followed it up with this:
97% of attendance at Broncos games is comprised of season-tix holders, so very limited tix inventory. This is 46th consec. year of sellouts!

Higher profile games had only a few hundred “full price” tix available (many single seats), which explains why tix sold out in 10 min!

It also explains why some people couldn’t find tickets. If many of the ones available were single tickets by themselves and fans were putting in quantities of 2-4, there wouldn’t be any. Considering the amount of information the Ticketmaster servers must have to process in a short period of time, it’s amazing they can sell them this way at all.
It can certainly be a frustrating experience for a fan to attempt to buy tickets this way, and yet, with so few available, a little good luck is certainly needed.
